Panamax from Core Brands today announced the appointment of Montreal-based SFM to serve as a Canada distribution partner for Panamax custom installation and pro solutions. According to Core Brands Vice President of Sales Jeff Costello, SFM is the ideal partner to bring Panamax power products to more resellers, integrators, and retailers throughout Canada.
ACT Lighting has completed its acquisition of RHC Holdings Corp. (RapcoHorizon). This move follows ACT Lighting’s recent acquisition of AC Power Distribution.
Headquartered in Jackson, MI and with core facilities in Massachusetts, Canada, and Mexico, RapcoHorizon manufactures interconnect assemblies, audio, data, and interface products, and specialty industrial wire. Its brand portfolio includes ProCo, RAT, RoadHog, and StageMASTER.
The Italian-based ProLights brand has become well-established in Europe and is now looking to launch into the North American market. It focuses on the design and manufacture of lighting technologies and professional video products for events, TV, and architectural applications.
QSC CEO Named President-Elect of 2018 AVIXA Board of Directors
QSC President and CEO Joe Pham has been named president-elect of the 2018 Board of Directors for AVIXA (formerly InfoComm International). This will be Pham’s fourth year serving on the board where he served as secretary-treasurer in 2017.
“Part of AVIXA’s rebranding is to reinvigorate the market and focus more on the user experience,” says Pham. “As this industry shifts into a world of convergence, AVIXA is looking to grow the AV industry globally and offer additional support and programs to its members. ESTA and USITT have announced the session lineup for the New World Rigging Symposium, taking place March 13-14, 2018 in conjunction with the USITT Conference and Stage Expo 2018 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. John Castelino has been appointed vice president of global marketing at Chauvet. In his new position, Castelino will be responsible for Chauvet’s entire brand portfolio which includes: Chauvet Professional, Chauvet DJ, Iluminarc, Trusst, and ChamSys.
Castelino joins Chauvet after a distinguished career at Stanley Black & Decker, where he served as VP of product management and marketing. During his time at Stanley Black & Decker, Castelino led some of the company’s largest brand portfolios such as Dewalt and Mac Tools.
Roland Canada has announced the hiring of Russell Williams as its a new national sales manager for the professional AV division. He will based out of Toronto.
As a product sales specialist, Williams has spent 20 years in various countries working within the pro AV, photo, and print industries. In addition, he is trained as a commercial photographer with education in video production and editing.
Williams says he is excited to move back to his roots in manufacturer sales, applying his experience to help and support Roland’s professional AV division. Of his recent appointment, Williams says, “I am really excited to join Roland as the new national sales manager for pro AV. I have some big shoes to fill.”
Wayne Korhonen, President of CETEC Group Inc., has announce the addition of John Devries to the CETEC Group. Devries will assume the position as CETEC Group’s national pro AV representative.
Devries comes to CETEC from Roland Pro AV Canada, where he spent 10 years as national sales manager. The company says Devries’ skills in professional audio/video sales and sales operations bring formidable experience to the CETEC Group. “John brings formidable pro-audio/video experience as CETEC continues to experience rapid growth,” adds Korhonen.
