InfoComm International has released the 2016 Global Pro-AV Distribution Channel and Trends Report. This new report explores the ways pro-AV products and services move through the market – from manufacturer to end-user organization – and identifies factors that influence the various channels. It also includes market forecasts through 2017.
InfoComm engaged Lewis Research to conduct the report, which involved a primary survey, in-depth interviews, secondary data sources, and past InfoComm research, to uncover key trends that impact the stakeholders throughout the pro-AV channel.

SC Media Canada has announced the appointment of Mark Gadomski to its Ontario sales team as Enterprise Sales and Business Development Manager.
Gadomski is responsible for supporting SC Media’s install customers and developing key relationships in the enterprise market for Ontario, including the Ottawa region. This includes Harman Audio, Barco, and Absen Video solutions for corporate, government, education, large venue, and hospitality customers.

The North American Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference (NATEAC) dinner, held at Sardi’s, the iconic New York City restaurant, raised over $11,000 for the Behind the Scenes charity. The dinner, a popular tradition at NATEAC, attracted 150 attendees and guests. “Needless to say, we’re thrilled,” says Rick Rudolph, chair of the Behind the Scenes Foundation. “The generosity of the NATEAC attendees is astonishing and very gratifying.”

SFM has announced its appointment as a distributor of Pro Control for Canada. Pro Control is a division of Remote Technologies Inc. (RTI), which SFM also recently took on Canadian distribution for. Effective Sept. 15, 2016, SFM will be responsible for growing Pro Control in the residential, commercial AV, and hospitality markets throughout Canada.

Erikson Pro has announced the promotion of Connie Fontanella to office manager for the Pro & Commercial Divisions. Doubling in her role, Connie will be acting as head-purchaser, oversee retail pricing structures and day-to-day office operations.
Fontanella has been with JAM Industries for 16 years and the company says in a statement that her “natural talent for business and relentless attention to detail are sure to carry us further.”

Christie today announced that industry veteran Susie Beiersdorf has joined Christie as VP, Cinema Sales – Americas, while long-time Christie employee Dave Muscat has been promoted to VP, Sales, Enterprise Solutions – Americas. The two new positions are effective immediately and will report to Dale Miller, Executive Vice-President, Global Sales, for Christie.
“Since 2008, Susie has been directly involved in the rollout of digital cinema for a major electronics company and as such, she brings not only a wealth of exhibitor relationships but also considerable studio experience to Christie,” says Dale Miller, EVP, Global Sales, Christie.
