ATEN Technology, a designer and manufacturer of connectivity and management solutions, has named EIKI International as its North American Distributor for its VanCryst Professional A/V product line.
U.K.-based specialist lighting manufacturer i-Pix has announced that Florida-based Inner Circle Distribution (ICD) as its exclusive distributor in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and South America for its new db1 video/beam effect light-source.
The db1 was launched in April this year. i-Pix’ Chris Ewington explains that he specifically sought an independent and specialist distribution company to represent the brand and support and promote i-Pix products and concepts.
Calibre has appointed George Koumis as technical business development manager with focus on Calibre’s OEM business and sales channels in the Americas.
Koumis is based out of Sacramento, CA and will focus on building OEM relationships. Koumis started his professional career in design engineering of video scan convertor boards at General Electric. He also has 20 years’ experience working for Barco in business development, design engineering, and product management for image processing technology including at Folsom.
LDI Show 2015 organizers have released some details for the upcoming LDInnovation & Technology Conference, which features three days of sessions on the issues important to the lighting, production, and staging industry. The 2015 LDI Show will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Oct. 19-25. The conference portion will be held from Oct. 19th to 25th and the exhibition portion will run from the 23rd to 25th.
On Sept. 1st and 2nd, AMX Canada and Techni+Contact we will be launching the second leg of their cross-Canada product conferences near Montreal to showcase all their commercial lines.
These events will entail an intense half-day of workshops from manufacturers, table top presentations, and demos. Snacks, refreshments, and lunch will be provided as well as door prizes and giveaways.
There will be four identical sessions over two days. Seats are limited so those interested are encourage to register soon, say the companies.

Following the acquisition of Specs Audio by Solotech in 2012, Claude spent three years as general director of the Solotech office in Gatineau and Ottawa. Campbell has spent nearly 30 years in strategic leadership roles, including seven as vice president and general manager of a large audio visual firm.

LynTec, a manufacturer of customized electrical power control solutions for professional audio, video, and lighting systems, has announced that Dan Nguyen will serve as the company’s new vice president of engineering. Nguyen was formerly the design engineer and chief architect of LynTec’s patent-pending Remote Power Control (RPC) platform for the company’s motorized circuit breaker and relay electrical control panels.
