The Canadian DJ Show presented by Pioneer DJ is returning to Toronto in 2015 and organizers say it will be the largest CDJ Show yet. Taking place March 13-15, 2015, a third day of events and activities has been scheduled and several guest speakers and performers from across the globe have been added in addition to more exhibitors.
The venue for the 2015 show is the Hilton Toronto at Richmond and University, in the heart of downtown. It is a large venue with space to accommodate more exhibits, special features, and guests.
The 2015 CDJ Show 3-Day Schedule:
Day 1 – Friday, March 13: Seminars and workshops, plus invite-only free Learning Day. This will be a day full of hands-on learning and training for full pass holders, featuring exclusive sessions with industry professionals. This day will also include educational events that will be available to invited VIP guests and end-users selected by the featured manufacturers.
Day 2 – Saturday, March 14: Seminars, workshops, and an exhibits floor preview. This day will be full of training/seminars and will be available to full pass holders only. There will also be a VIP sneak peek into the exhibits floor for full pass holders. Watch out for news as parties, networking opportunities, and more are announced for Friday and Saturday night.
Day 3 – Sunday, March 15: Seminars, workshops, exhibits floor, and special performances. This is the big show day that is open to both full pass and exhibits pass holders. Full Pass holders can take part in more educational events, the trade-show, and main stage performances and other special events TBA. Exhibits pass holders can take part in the trade-show and main stage performances. Full pass holders are automatically entered into a draw to win prizes from the exhibitors at the end of the show day.
The full event, guest, and feature list will be announced as confirmed in the coming months.
Each year of the show, one of the most popular events has been The Networking Social – an opportunity for all full pass holders, exhibitors, guests, and VIP to converge and discuss industry topics in a light and laid-back environment. This year, organizers have decided to integrate a full Networking Lounge area to run for the duration of the show. Full pass holders and other guests can come in and “chill” without leaving the show floor.
Among the international guest speakers is Stuart Knight, who established Toolroom Records in 1993. Alongside his DJ/producer brother Mark Knight, he has shaped Toolroom into one of the leading independent dance companies in the world – launching the careers of some of today’s key electronic music artists in the process.
More recently Stuart has steered Toolroom’s expansion into multiple business areas, including an international live brand in Toolroom Knights, which regularly hosts festival stages and arenas; content creation through Toolroom TV, which has been broadcast on Sky TV; and a successful publishing venture with Toolroom Publishing. Stuart oversees a staff of 20 at Toolroom HQ in Maidstone, Kent.
