InfoComm International has named Heidi A. Voorhees, MBA, CAE, as the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Voorhees will lead InfoComm’s North American operations and global marketing and communication efforts.
With 20 years of trade association and private business experience, Voorhees brings to InfoComm significant expertise in operations management and strategic planning. She spent nearly 10 years at SmithBucklin, the world’s largest association management company, where she oversaw meetings, conventions, trade shows, and executive events for anywhere from 10 to 20,000 participants. Voorhees also has experience in association marketing and trade show management from her time as VP of strategic initiatives at the Institute of Food Technologists and Sr. VP at Experient, a leading global event company.
Longtime industry veteran Pete Heffernan has joined Christie Lites. Heffernan was president of Bandit Lites for eight years prior to joining Christie Lites and his career spans more than three decades, including as promoter of an Elvis Presley concert, lighting designer, production manager, and finally as corporate executive.

Roger Parent, president and head creative director, has announced the recent arrival of four new members of the Réalisations team.
Catherine Landry studied industrial design in France before settling in Montreal to pursue further studies in event and environment design. Le Roux participated in several public art installations prior to her work on Réalisations’ Renaissance Midtown New York, One World Observatory and Doha International Airport projects. She then worked on the coordination and logistical aspects of several major events before recently rejoining the artistic direction team.
GerrAudio has announced the appointment of Peter Snelgrove to the newly-created position of director of marketing and education.
Snelgrove has 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, initially with the Canadian division of News America Marketing and, most recently, with the mobile application Checkout51. He will be handling GerrAudio’s social media and online presence and will also be co-ordinating all print advertising and online news activities. Snelgrove will also focus new attention on the development and implementation of GerrAudio’s product training seminars and special events, including an expansion of Rational Acoustics Smaart Training across Canada.

Toronto-based CAST BlackTrax Ltd. Has hired Andrew Gordon as its new director of business development to work exclusively on growing BlackTrax real-time motion tracking system, globally.
Gordon brings over a decade of sales, marketing management, and operations experience working formerly as business development director at Freeman Audiovisual, Canada. From 2009 to 2014, he worked with CAST Group as the marketing and communication and business development manager across WYSIWYG , Vivien, and BlackTrax early stage products.
SC Media Canada has announced the hiring of Jimmy Katsipis as sales representative for Quebec and the Ottawa Region.
Katsipis comes to SC Media from SFM and has over 20 years of experience in the industry. He will responsible for the development of the Harman Pro brands (AKG, BSS, Crown, DBX, JBL, Lexicon, and Soundcraft), as well as Barco and Absen in his territory. Arif Nathu remains SC Media’s sales rep for the Montreal Metropolitan area.
ARRI has announce the promotion of Sebastien Laffoux to director of sales, Camera Systems for ARRI Inc., effective immediately. In this new role, he is responsible for managing the entire camera sales team for North America with regional representatives based in Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto. Laffoux reports directly to Glenn Kennel, president of ARRI Inc., who is based at ARRI Inc.’s headquarters in Burbank, CA.
Says Kennel, “I am pleased to offer Sebastien this opportunity to work with me in building our team and further developing camera system sales. He has agreed to relocate to the Burbank office in the middle of 2017.“
With over 15 years at ARRI Canada, Laffoux previously served as an accounts manager before transitioning to technical sales representative and then Technical sales manager, eastern region for North America. He brings a wealth of product and application experience on lenses, cameras, and accessories along with customer relations to this enhanced responsibility at ARRI.
Andrew Hope, managing director of AVL Media Group, has announced the appointment of Claude Viens to the position of product specialist/technical support for lighting. With more than 25 years of experience in all areas of professional lighting, Viens will spearhead AVL’s continued growth in the professional lighting and visual effects marketplace.

In a move to continue the growth of their project management team, PixelFLEX has appointmented Jon Chavez to the position of Senior Project Manager.
