Jacques Larue and Éric Cyr, partners at Montreal-based XYZ Cultural Technology, have announced the arrival of Joël Beauchamp, CTS, as director of facilities. Beauchamp brings more than 15 years’ audiovisual experience in key positions with companies such as Allied Systems and Solotech, where he worked as director of operations for the last three years.
Christie has announced that Clark Williams has been appointed executive vice president in charge of a new Christie team, Content Management and Processing (CMP).
Building on Christie’s content management and image processing portfolios, CMP will unite Christie’s engineering and product management resources associated with its content management and processing products – including Christie Spyder, Christie Phoenix, Christie Brio, and Christie Pandoras Box – under one team. The company says the new team will deliver enhanced focus and alignment of Christie’s human resources and capital investments associated with content management and processing, to meet customer needs and expectations for unified, application-specific solutions.
SC Media Canada has announced the appointment of Mark Gadomski to its Ontario sales team as Enterprise Sales and Business Development Manager.
Gadomski is responsible for supporting SC Media’s install customers and developing key relationships in the enterprise market for Ontario, including the Ottawa region. This includes Harman Audio, Barco, and Absen Video solutions for corporate, government, education, large venue, and hospitality customers.
Erikson Pro has announced the promotion of Connie Fontanella to office manager for the Pro & Commercial Divisions. Doubling in her role, Connie will be acting as head-purchaser, oversee retail pricing structures and day-to-day office operations.
Fontanella has been with JAM Industries for 16 years and the company says in a statement that her “natural talent for business and relentless attention to detail are sure to carry us further.”
Steve Kosters, CEO of Intellimix and AVL Media Group, has announced that industry veteran Andrew Hope has joined the company in the role of managing director for AVL. Hope comes to AVL after spending more than 25 years with GerrAudio Distribution.
“Bringing with him over 30 years of varied experience in all aspects of professional audio and communications; Andrew enjoys an enviable industry-wide reputation for his professionalism, business acumen, and solution-oriented approach. Christie today announced that industry veteran Susie Beiersdorf has joined Christie as VP, Cinema Sales – Americas, while long-time Christie employee Dave Muscat has been promoted to VP, Sales, Enterprise Solutions – Americas. The two new positions are effective immediately and will report to Dale Miller, Executive Vice-President, Global Sales, for Christie.
“Since 2008, Susie has been directly involved in the rollout of digital cinema for a major electronics company and as such, she brings not only a wealth of exhibitor relationships but also considerable studio experience to Christie,” says Dale Miller, EVP, Global Sales, Christie.
Jim Norris, president of Norris-Whitney Communications Inc. (NWC), has announced the appointment of Attila Hajzer as the company’s technology support coordinator. NWC publishes Professional Sound, Canadian Musician, Canadian Music Trade and Professional Lighting & Production magazines.
Hajzer is a graduate of Niagara College in general arts and Science and new media web design. He is an accomplished website designer and an expert in computer software and hardware. He is also musician, playing keyboards and guitar, and is also an avid songwriter.
Cosmic Truss has announced the appointment of Paul Saghbazarian as its new Sales Manager, who will be working directly with Cosmic Truss Brand Director, David Park.
Saghbazarian comes to Cosmic Truss from areas outside of the industry, but with a knowledge and understanding of the entertainment industry from earlier experience, according to the company. He will begin immediately working with existing customers, strengthening the level of support and service that Cosmic Truss offers. As the brand grows, Saghbazarian will be a key link in expanding the Cosmic Truss Sales channels in areas where the company sees potential to expand.

SGM has announced the appointment of David Keighley as its new executive vice president. Keighley has worked as a lighting designer, tour manager, and production manager as well as management experience as executive vice president and chief of operations for Syncrolite, managing director and CEO of PRG Europe, and managing director of light and sound design. Keighley has been involved with the Olympic Games (1992, 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2012) and worked with artists such as Madonna, Rolling Stones, Spice Girls, Billy Joel, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple etc.
Keighley’s primary area of responsibility as EVP will be to work with and support designers and architects to ensure the right equipment for the job. He will be based in the U.K., but will be travelling to oversee global activities for SGM.
SFM has announced that Jean-Michel Berezoutzky has joined the company as the coordinator of the TAG group. SFM’s AV Technical Application Group (TAG) acts as a direct link to customers and provides training, technical support, and design assistance for installations and concepts involving SFM’s products. The TAG group is present at all levels of the sale and acts as a resource for industry professionals such as integrators, consultants, production/rental companies, and engineers.
