REfficient sells refurbished, used, and surplus new telecom and AV products. The company provides quality equipment at affordable prices, such as set top boxes, modems and more, to Canadian and other telecom service providers. REfficient has grown to have customers in nine Canadian provinces, three Canadian territories and 11 other countries.

Solotech has announced the opening of a new store in Quebec City. With the recent merger of Solotech Quebec Sales and Rentals divisions under the same roof, the company says new Solotech store now occupies the largest audiovisual equipment sales space in Quebec. The store sells a wide range of products in the fields of audio, lighting, DJ, acoustics, and studio, but now it also offers a Solotech Express Rental Counter for standard equipment rentals.

Following its completed purchase of Midnight Hour Productions (MHP) in November, Solotech has officially moved into the MHP warehouse facility in Toronto. As previously reposted,  Midnite Hour’s founders, Marty Anderson and Louis Racine, as well as all of their employees will now be part of the larger Solotech team. The facility is located at 324 Horner Ave. in Toronto.

ETC Hires New VP of Finance

ETC Finance VP Jeff WelchETC (Electronic Theatre Controls) has named the new vice president of its Finance department: Jeffrey Welch. In this role, Welch will manage the financial strategy of the global company.

Welch holds a bachelor of business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master of business administration from DePaul University in Chicago, and passed the CPA exam in 1998. He began his career at the First National Bank of Chicago, in their Corporate Banking Group working with multinational companies. From there, he moved to what is now US Bank in Madison, where he served as vice president, managing their Commercial Banking team.
