Show Distribution Corporation has announced the purchase of all capital stock of Niscon Inc. of Mississauga, ON, a company specializing in the design, engineering and implementation of motion control systems. Niscon will continue to operate as an independent company from its current production and administrative head office. Its products will be integrated into Show Distribution’s rigging portfolio and will allow the company to offer turnkey solutions to live event professionals and particularly to the touring industry as well as for permanent installations.
U.K. motion control specialist Kinesys is opening a new operation – Kinesys USA Inc. headquartered in Atlanta, GA and headed up by industry veteran David Martin. The move is part of the company’s planned medium term expansion strategy to optimize sales, technical support, and after-sales service for all Kinesys’ existing and potential owners and users.
Christie has acquired Montreal-based Arsenal Media Inc., a digital signage agency specializing in experiential installations, interactive content, and strategic digital signage installations. Arsenal Media will become Christie Creative Media Services, operating within Christie’s Global Professional Services group.

François Ménard, president and shareholder of Solotech, has announced three new strategic financial partners for the company: Claridge, Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins, and Investissement Québec. These changes are part of a reorganization of the company’s share ownership that also includes the departure of some major shareholders, namely one Quebec-based institutional investor and Denis Lefrançois, co-president and one of the main architects of Solotech from its beginnings in 1977.
