Expo-Scène Returning For Second Edition In May 2016

CITT/ICTS has announced that it is expanding the exhibiting space at the second annual Expo-Scène trade show and conference, which is returning to Montreal on May 2nd and 3rd, 2016.

The show will host over 50 Canadian and American exhibitors at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. The exhibiting companies cover all areas of the industry, including: audio-visual and screens; lighting; multimedia; pro audio and sound; staging equipment; special effects; and associations, education, and publishing. Likewise, over 1,000 professional attendees are from Eastern Canada and the U.S. are expected, according to organizers.

The North American Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference (NATEAC) has announced that Reynold Levy will offer the 2016 keynote address to open NATEAC on Sunday morning, July 17th.

Levy, author, philanthropist and an arts management icon, is probably best known to the live performance industry as the president of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts from 2001 to 2014.   During his tenure at Lincoln Center, award winning and critically acclaimed programs flourished. Simultaneously, a $1.2 billion physical transformation occurred. Levy authored an account of the transformation in his book, They Told Me Not To Take That Job: Tumult, Betrayal, Heroics and the Transformation of Lincoln Center.

The 2016 LED professional Symposium +Expo (LpS), the annual international conference that addresses solid-state lighting technologies and its applications, will take place Sept. 20th to 22nd in Bregenz, Austria. Experts from the fields of industry and academia are invited to submit an abstract to present their latest developments and expectations for future lighting trends and innovations to a highly qualified audience. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 19, 2016. The papers will be published in the LpS 2016 proceedings booklets.
