Over 1,400 professionals gathered at the Palais des congrès de Montreal for Expo-Scène 2016 on May 2nd and 3rd. The show featured over 65 exhibitors from Canada and the U.S., as well as 15 different seminars and demos over the course of the two-day event.
Exhibitors and speakers covered all areas of the pro audio, lighting, audiovisual, and multimedia technology industries. The seminars included how stage lighting is changing with the advent of LED-powered fixtures, as well as two sessions on how to create visual projection on video/LED walls for concerts, theatres, etc. and an overview of truss systems, connections, and load bearings. There was also a seminar on remote device management and monitoring for today’s lighting systems and PL&P Publisher Jim Norris discussed business marketing.
“Expo-Scène 2016 was a resounding success with more exhibitors, more attendees, and more new technology,” CITT President Michael Harris tells Professional Lighting & Production. “It was our pleasure to host the only major Canadian event dedicated to professionals in the pro audio, sound, lighting, audiovisual, and multimedia technologies. Attendees had the opportunity to see, hear, and test the newest technologies available on the market.”
The next edition of Expo-Scène is schedule for April 12-13, 2017 at Palais des congrès de Montreal.
