This is the eighth year for the February Freeze and it proved to be a beneficial experience for those in the lighting and video industries. Last year the event was held in a 15,00 sq. ft. building, and this year the event was in a much bigger space, at 46,000 sq. ft.
Paul Bronfman, Chairman and CEO of Comweb Group Inc./William F. White International Inc. comments on the obstacles associated with the show, “The biggest obstacles are securing the stage, but most importantly getting the gear when it’s not on film shoots.”
The show plans on using Pinewood Toronto Studio complex again next year and there is also talk about the show heading west, Bronfman saying, “I’d like to do something like this out in Vancouver, but, it’s a bit of a tougher market so we’ll see.”
