Lightfair International (LFI) is reporting its 2012 show, taking place May 7-11, 2012 in Las Vegas, is 99 per cent sold out of exhibitor space. Returning to the west coast after its record-breaking 2011 performance at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA, LFI, an annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, is on track to expand its exhibitor base and featured pavilions across more than 200,000 sq. ft. of trade show floor space. While LFI is already poised for its largest show to date, it is prepared to exceed projected growth for 2012.
For the event, the show floor will be enhanced by the launch of a fifth pavilion; all pavilions are designed to showcase cutting-edge style and innovative design, launch new products, and reveal new technological advances to the global architectural and commercial lighting industry. The five pavilions are: the Building Integration Pavilion; Daylighting Pavilion; Design Pavilion; Global Light + Design Pavilion; and the New Exhibitor Pavilion.
The show floor is complemented and supported by a lineup of educational programming in the LIGHTFAIR Conference and Institutes. With 73 courses taught by industry experts in a five-day run, the program is designed to educate attendees on the latest trends, innovations, and lighting solutions.
Another highlight for 2012 will be the return of seven conference tracks, including the Retrofit and Upgrade track. Launched last year, it will again focus on technologies and strategies for lighting interventions in buildings or projects that already exist, highlighting the challenges and advantages of integrating new lighting fixtures, controls, and infrastructure into existing buildings.
