The department, spearheaded by Whites Education & Training Manager Bruce Dale, made its official launch in February with a significant presence on the company’s new website (www.whites.com) and the formalization of the WFW National Grants Program designed to enable emerging filmmakers and post secondary students to achieve higher production values through in-kind equipment grants and expertise.

“Our goal is to engage our clients, staff and emerging filmmakers by facilitating new education and training opportunities that will ultimately enable them to achieve better value in their day-to-day work experiences,” shares Bronfman. “Bruce is the perfect guy for the job.”

He started out working in the WFW Toronto warehouse and quickly advanced to become a Customer Service Representative, where he was responsible for processing customer orders on commercials and Canadian independent long-format projects.  Prior to joining WFW, Dale gained on-set experience working as a production assistant, grip, and camera assistant on various shoots throughout the GTA.  He also served as Program Director and Arts Instructor at Imagination Works School of the Arts for a period of five years.

“I’m thrilled to be taking on this new position,” states Dale.  “I welcome the opportunity to provide fun and constructive learning opportunities for our staff, industry professionals and emerging filmmakers while establishing a new level of involvement with organizations and post-secondary institutions.”
